DONOR TRIP TO NEPAL

7 Day / 6 Night Trip

Make a difference in the life of young women. Taking a donor trip helps fund our operations and combines philanthropy, cultural immersion, and adventure. Participants will visit the Girls' INpowerment Center, connecting with the community and offering strategic guidance. The trip also includes exploring historical sites and temples, in-country transportation and lodging, two meals per day, and staying in 4 or 5-star hotels in Kathmandu. Add the helicopter ride to Everest Basecamp to enrich the experience.

The INpowerment Center & Dormitory shines as a beacon of hope for girls in Ghyangphedi, Nepal, who face significant trafficking risks and endure a challenging two-hour trek or more to school. This inspiring center supports 46 girls aged 8-17, providing them with a safe haven, equal access to education, and abundant opportunities for self-development and growth.

MISSION

Compass Rose International uplifts young women vulnerable to child trafficking and mental health challenges, providing tools for resilience, confidence, safety, and independence.

HOW IT STARTED

During the devastating Nepal Earthquakes of 2015, founder Katie Hilborn and her team set out on a mission to deliver disaster relief aid to remote Himalayan villages. Upon arrival, they uncovered a shocking scheme where young girls were being exploited and trafficked to Indian brothels, orchestrated by local politicians. Through undercover investigations and local collaboration, they realized that the most effective way to combat this crisis was through education, empowerment, and economic opportunity.
