Ujjwal is from Nepal has extensive background on humanitarian and urban-rural development with his academic his background on Forestry and Rural Development. In over 20 years’ he gained several experiences on development, humanitarian assistance and scientific/social research. He has directly managed bilateral , multilateral, private, foundations corporate funding charity projects in different sectors such as; Community Based Disaster Preparedness, Water and sanitation, agriculture, forestry, environment, climate change, HIV/AIDS, education and accountability in different parts of Nepal. Currently, he is working as a Country Director for Mission East Nepal and Technical Advisor for Mission East Program in Myanmar. Mission East is a Denmark based International NGO. In the past, he worked for Rural Education and Environment Development Center, World Vision International, Japan International Cooperation Agency and International Center for Integrated Mountain Development in Nepal. Ujjwal has a master degree in Rural Development and Bachelor in Forestry from Pakistan Forest Institute, Pakistan.
Dr. Laxmi Tamang, a distinguished public health professional from Nepal’s indigenous marginalized ethnic community, holds a Ph.D. in Gender Power Relations in Sexual and Reproductive Health from the University of Sydney, Australia. With over 20 years of experience in the development sector, she is a trailblazer in evidence-based advocacy, training, and translating policy into actionable practice.
Dr. Tamang has held pivotal leadership and management roles, driving the strategic vision of national and international organizations. As a co-founder of the Midwives Association of Nepal (Midwifery Society of Nepal) and a founding board member of the Community Leadership Foundation Nepal, she has been instrumental in championing women’s health and empowerment. Currently, she represents the South-East Asia region as a board member of the International Confederation of Midwives and serves as Vice Chairperson of the women-led network organization, Beyond Beijing Committee Nepal. Her work focuses on advancing sexual, reproductive, maternal, and adolescent health while promoting women’s rights and gender equality.
A passionate advocate for midwifery, Dr. Tamang has collaborated with the Government of Nepal to establish and strengthen the midwifery profession. She is committed to fostering a culture of evidence-based decision-making, both in-person and through social media platforms. With a background in nursing, a Master’s degree in Public Health from the University of New South Wales, and a Ph.D., Dr. Tamang bridges the gap between communities and donors. Her notable achievements include facilitating land acquisition in Ghyangphedi to establish the Ghyangphedi Girls Empowerment Center in partnership with the Creative Red Panda Women’s Group and Compass Rose International.
Since earning her doctorate in 2015, Dr. Tamang has devoted herself as a full-time volunteer, excelling in coordination, networking, and collaboration to create meaningful, lasting impacts in her community and beyond.

Dominick is the Founding Managing Principal and Chief Investment Officer of IPS Strategic Capital in Denver. He received his Certified Investment Management Analyst (CIMA®) through the Wharton School of Business and completed the College for Financial Planning’s CFP certification program. In his spare time, he’s an Adjunct Professor at the Denver University where he frequently lectures on the real-world use of derivatives in risk-defined money management. Dominick served as Board Member for The Denver Voice for 5 years. His life’s work to deliver a risk management solution will help Global Orphan Prevention’s success in financial and strategic planning.
Tanya is currently a Senior Property Manager with Alturas Capital Partners. She oversees a portfolio of (3) high rise office buildings in the Denver Tech Center. She first started managing these sites in May of 2021 and became an ACP team member on December 1, 2021.
In the industry since 2010, she is involved with the Denver BOMA chapter and is this year’s Vice-Chair for the Awards and Recognition Committee. She obtained her LEED Green accreditation in 2014 and shortly after her Colorado Real Estate broker license.
In her free time, she loves to hike, ski, camp and watch hockey with her family. She has a passion for singing and once tried out for American Idol. She volunteers at her church on the weekends and sits on the executive board of a non-profit called Global Orphan Prevention.
Now retired from corporate life, Brian brings over 37 years of CEO, COO and CFO experience across multiple industries, with an extensive background in guiding companies through challenging periods of growth and change. He was instrumental in the $150 million sale of Alert Centre to ADT Security, the $6.5 billion sale of ADT to Tyco International, and the $75 million sale of Coherent Technologies to Lockheed Martin. Brian offers wide-ranging experience in corporate governance, having served on the boards of nine privately and publicly-traded corporations and several non-profit organizations, including RAFT Colorado (Resource Area for Teachers), Forward Steps and Boulder County Hospice. An “inactive” attorney and CPA, Brian is driven by a passionate belief in a “full spectrum” leadership model that promotes shaping the future, building effective relationships, energizing teams, delivering results, and modeling personal excellence, integrity and accountability. He recently joined our board with a passionate belief in its mission and strong confidence in its leadership.

Susan’s track record of success extends beyond entrepreneurship. As the EVP of Commercial Sales at Dispersive Technologies, she built a cybersecurity sales organization. Prior to that, she achieved remarkable growth as the founder and President of ReView Video Services, Inc., leading the company to become the videoconferencing industry’s largest distributor globally within a remarkably short timeframe. ReView received numerous industry awards including being recognized as the fastest growing privately held company in Illinois by Crain’s Chicago Business Journal, a Stevie award, and Polycom Top Worldwide Distributor.
Throughout her career, Susan has been deeply committed to giving back to her community. She co-founded a school-based nonprofit organization to enrich the arts and technical education of children and served as the Chair of the Health Advisory Council for Douglas County Schools for five years.
Susan continues to make a difference as a board member for Compass Rose, addressing significant challenges of teen mental health and child trafficking.
Susan lives in Castle Rock, Colorado.
Dr. Brown Levey received her PhD in Clinical Psychology from Illinois Institute of Technology in Chicago, Illinois. She completed her 2-year post-doctoral fellowship at the University of Colorado Department of Family Medicine where she currently serves as the Director of Behavioral Health. Through her work, Dr. Brown Levey strives to implement integrated behavioral health programs and support their development over time with regard to clinical, educational, research, policy, and financial needs for growth and sustainability.
Beth is a leader with 20 years experience running businesses. She has operations experience and came up through the revenue function as a marketer. She’s grown multiple businesses from a few million to several million. She was previously the president at Ad2 Denver, an advertising non-profit. She has a passion for helping people in need, especially children. She taught two refugee mothers English as a second language and helped translate their children’s school communications. She is well-traveled and has been to 5 of the 7 continents. She received her Bachelor’s degree from UC Santa Barbara and her Master’s degree in Business Administration from Colorado State University.
Chloe is the Marketing Director for Canopy Holdings, she specializes in search engine optimization. Originally from the east coast, she moved to Denver with her husband and two dogs. She started her marketing career at the Harvard Humanitarian Initiative where she developed a passion for international humanitarian issues. She loves to hike, ski, and go to Rockies games. She also serves on the board of Zero Tolerance 4 Domestic Abuse.
